Labor Of Love

It was my brother's wedding day. There were a lot of things that has been prepared. Well, thank God 'cause at least, we had accomplished them all at the last minute of the wedding, LOL! :)

And since it's my dear brother's special day, I also prepared a few things, some were surprises where in my only main resources is my love and care for both of them. And I'm just glad I made it all with no so much effort. :)

I just realized that when you're doing something out of love, it becomes effortless and while you doing it, you know in your heart, that it also brings joy not just to them but also to you. :)

Here are some of them:

A Cool Wedding Presentation!
I'm just glad that my friend, Robin George, is just so kind for helping me making this video. Also, to my cousin, JM Ongleo, who contacted the dubber from ABS-CBN. Without them, this video won't ever be published. :)

Wedding Greetings from Special People!
Yes! I was able to collect some greetings from the people close to their hearts. And again, I'm just so grateful with my cousin, JM Ongleo, who selflessly help me get more special people from my brother's work and also for creating and editing the video to make it more presentable.

Wedding Dance Pin Bookmarks!
These were used while the couple have their first dance. :)

And of course, the one that I really really love doing... THE MAKE UP! :D

And the final output....

So, you think I can do freelance make-up now? LOL!

That's just the few list of it... of my labor of love. And so happy to share it to them. :)

A Gift For Papa

Same with my topic about 'A Gift For Mama', I also thought of something that I can give to my dad on his special day, on Father's Day celebration. Right after the Mother's Day, I started searching from web about the gift ideas for daddies.

And after some research, I found an idea that would fit his personality. And when I thought about it, I was so sure that he would like it and I was right! :)

Three weeks before Father's Day, I started collecting stuff that I think I would need for this gift project and thanks God 'cause they appeared amazingly without any effort from me.. :)

Here's some shots of "the making". I'm sure you'll know it just by seeing the first photo.

I wasn't able to capture the raw of this one. But I found this as is, no additional, no cut. I just painted it with white.

Next, I made a note that I'll put somewhere on the frame.

Then, the title that is made of chopped egg shell with silver glitters...

Then, the picture frames, small picture frames...

I'm almost done but not yet...

You know what's the best part of the making of this project? It was when the moment I was cutting off the pictures of each members of the family and put it in frame then on the tree. The feeling is amazing! Even myself was touched by my creation. :)

And here's the final output after some revisions...

I'm just glad to see how my father appreciates it, not just him but the whole family. :)

"Our family is an ever changing source of strength and love. With each birth and every marriage the roots become stronger and the branches grow. Even when growing in separate directions we will always remain as one in the heart."

A Gift for Mama

I was thinking about it since the day I made my checklist for 2012 as I include there, Do something special for my Mom. I kept thinking and asking myself what is that special thing if not the best that I can do or give to her. I was hoping to take the chance on doing it with special occasion that relates to her, could be her birthday or simply her day. It would be one of my chances to express my gratitude to her for being our Mom together with my siblings. And I don't want to let it pass.

And so, two weeks before Mother's Day, an idea came out to my mind and since that day, I can't wait to finally do it and present it to Mama.

The day before that Mother Special day, I devoted my time in doing it. I spent whole day for this special gift. It was Saturday. And before the night came, I was done! And was so glad to finally made it! I called it "Photo Collage Frame" with a border made of egg shell. A simple craft that I personally made just for her.

When I presented it to her in the morning of Sunday (Mother's Day), she appreciated it so much. I was just glad to see her happy face on that day. She deserves it. And on that moment, I felt that a simple craft like this brings great joy to her. Yeah, mothers are like that. Just a simple act of goodness from their children brings so much joy to them. But for all their hard works and unconditional love for their children and for the family, nothing could ever be enough to thank them.

Today, I just took a picture of her with this craft where she already placed those pictures that were placed in an old calendar before. Yes, its pictures of our family. :) At least now, it looks better to their room compared to that old calendar.

My First Craft

When I found an empty plastic bottle of the vinegar we're using at home and was about to throw to trash, suddenly, an idea came up to my mind. Though, I've been waiting for this moment to find a plastic bottle which I will use for my first craft.

I washed this empty bottle and made sure the pasted label were washed away. After washing, I started the idea that's in my mind, an idea that has been longing to get into reality.

And here's the output. I love it!

By the way, thanks to eHow.com for contributing to this idea. Hope to have some more to come that I could tell as my 'own design'.
